About Us
Beautiful Minds Childcare and Learning Center
- is a licensed, full time childcare and learning center that provides childcare for children ages 6 weeks -5 years old. We aim to provide the highest quality of childcare in an environment that is safe and promotes each child’s social, emotional, physical, intellectual, and cognitive development. We seek to contribute to the education of children by presenting a daily curriculum and age-appropriate lessons, activities, and crafts.
- We encourage the healthy development of relationships between children by helping children to learn appropriate ways to interact and socialize with one another.
- We offer nutritious meals daily in accordance with the USDA. We operate on a schedule that is convenient for working parents.
- Beautiful Minds Childcare and Learning Center supports the “WHOLE CHILD” including their mental, physical, and cognitive wellbeing.

About the owner:
- Mrs. Kenyetter Johnson is a native of the Mississippi Gulf Coast, where she graduated from Harrison Central High School in 1999. She joined the US. Air Force right after high school. She moved to the Washington DC Metropolitan area and remained a resident for 15 years. During that time, she served as a director for KinderCare Learning Center and Bright Horizons.
- She owned and operated a large family childcare home in Maryland before relocating to the Gulf Coast with her husband. She also began to further her education first receiving a bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education, followed by a bachelor's degree in Business Administration and Psychology. She is currently pursuing a Masters in Psychology. Her passion for Early childhood development is what motivates her. She believes that a child’s foundation has long lasting effects on the way they learn and grow throughout their lives.
- Providing the highest quality childcare in an environment that is safe and promotes each child's social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development is her daily goal. The joys of seeing the smiles of each child as they greet you hello and hug you goodbye are a huge part of her passion to provide exceptional care in the early stages which will make a difference in their lives and our community. Her lifelong commitment to children has been the driving force behind wanting to own a child care center.
- The story behind the name comes in two parts, childcare and cultivating the minds of children; Beautiful Minds Childcare and Learning Center. With mental illness on the rise especially in children, it’s a double passion of Kenyetter to provide quality childcare and to teach children how to cope with a mental illness disorder in a holistic manner.
- She resides in St. Martin with her husband, Rudy. They have 5 children age ranging from 15-25, and a Labrador Retriever named River.
